Staghorn ferns are a epiphytes, native primarily to Australia, Southeast Asia and Africa. Their fronds somewhat resemble the forked antlers of male deer or elk.

Growing Conditions: Light: Bright light, but not direct sunlight. They can handle more sunlight given enough water, warmth and humidity.
Water: Water regularly throughout growing season. Perfect drainage is essential; plants do best mounted on plaques. Increase water as temperature rises.
Temperature: The most common stag horn can survive briefly freezing temperatures, but they thrive in warm, humid conditions.

This Platycerium superbum specimen has grown to 180cm wide x 180cm tall x 100cm deep. It is absolutely huge!
